Capacity Building Wokshop at Tharad, Banaskantha.

GHBIL with the support of UnicefIndia and research partners including SAP lab at IIT Gandhinagar and the health department aims to help reduce Anemia rate in adolescents and pregnant women in Tharad Taluka using behaviourally informed interventions. To this effect the teams conducted research across 7 villages, engaging 89 stakeholders in December 2023, in Tharad, located in Banaskantha district to understand the potential drivers and barriers to the uptake of IFA supplements and dietary diversity.

This research was a part of a Three-day workshop (4-7 December) conducted in Tharad. The objectives of the research was to present low-fidelity prototypes to the end-users including the stakeholders in health system. It allowed us to prioritise interventions based on anticipated impact and feasability within the existing health system. The culmination of this effort resulted in finalising interventions ready for pilot testing.
